The volatility continues! The Fed announcement days this year have certainly been the cause of a lot of back and forth in the markets, and yesterday was no exception. While the market doesn’t like interest rate rises in the short-term, letting inflation run wild would be detrimental to everyone in the long-term.

The Mets clinched a postseason spot last night by beating the Brewers. It’s the first time since 2016 that they’ll be in the playoffs, and BOY have those 6 years felt like an eternity. It just goes to show that the tide eventually does turn back in your favor. Similar to the economy and the markets, sometimes you just have to sit on the roller coaster and ride it down to get back up.

For the first time in YEARS I get to write this: the New York Jets won a football game in the month of September! An improbable win against the Browns yesterday serves as another reminder that in life you always give it everything you’ve got until the final whistle. Even with the odds stacked against you, you never know what might happen!

It seems to be the case every week nowadays, but the volatility in the day-to-day markets has been relentless. We always say that volatility is the norm, not the exception, but it doesn’t make it any easier watching things on a daily basis. My recommendation? Don’t watch it. It’s a beautiful day here in NJ, go focus on something else!
