Not that I should be surprised, it is winter after all here in NJ, but my gosh it is COLD out this week. It’s the perfect weather to stay inside, stay warm, and curled up with some great financial blog posts to read through. See what I did there? Enjoy!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘Are We Bullish Enough?’ – Nick Maggiulli – Of Dollars and Data
- With people over the last few years asking how much longer can this bull market continue, Nick is asking almost the opposite. Are we bullish enough? He explains the claim he made two years ago, and where he stands on it now.
‘Amid Rising Prices, American Families Fall Deeper in Debt’ – Jessica Dickler – CNBC
- We’ve seen the impact of higher inflation in a handful of areas of the economy recently, and according to this article it’s affecting the amount of household debt in the US. Not totally surprising, but this outlines just how much debt the average American is shouldering.
- Fed chairman Jerome Powell is set for a grilling in front of Congress on Tuesday. This article outlines how investors will be sifting through his answers for clues into the Fed’s plans to fight inflation in 2022.
- Almost piggybacking off the last post, this post looks at the areas of the market that serve to potentially benefit from the Fed raising rates this year. Bank stocks and other financial institutions could see a nice boost.
ENJOY!
