The latest installment of the Mullooly Asset Show drops today! Tom addresses what has been going on in the market recently, and it’s a nice refresher and reminder for folks moving forward. Be sure to check it out on our YouTube channel!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘The U.S. Economy Saw Robust Growth in Late 2021’ – Josh Mitchell – The Wall Street Journal
- The latest GDP numbers for the 4th quarter of 2021 were released this morning. We saw GDP grow at an annual rate of nearly 7%. While inflation is high, the economy is growing right alongside with it, though the ongoing pandemic still looms over the economy at large.
‘Welcome to the Terrordome’ – Tony Isola – A Teachable Moment
- Turning on CNBC when the market is down and watching the “MARKETS IN TURMOIL” headlines is like watching a car crash. Tony writes about how investors can create better habits when the market drops instead of running away.
‘Be Sure to Keep Your Will or Estate Plan Updated’ – Sarah O’Brien – CNBC
- Your estate plan is a very important part of your overall financial plan. Too often we see folks neglect estate planning until it’s too late. This article outlines why updating your estate planning documents is so important.
‘There’s Blood in the Streets’ – Michael Batnick – The Irrelevant Investor
- The market is moving at a faster and faster pace as the years go on. Michael writes that it seems to be having an impact on investor behavior. Bears outweigh bulls in this market by a wider margin than at pandemic lows in 2020. For the remaining bulls, there’s blood in the streets and you know what that means.
ENJOY!
