Since the NFL season has started, we’ve done 5 episodes of the Mullooly Asset Podcast. I have been on 3 of them, and in all 3 of those weeks, the Jets have won a football game! I guess I have no choice but to be on the podcast every week now. Check out last week’s episode below.
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
- In this week’s podcast, Tom, Tim, Brendan and Casey discuss the impact interest rates have on bond prices. They share some numbers to show that if your bond investment’s time horizon is longer than the bond funds’, higher interest rates REALLY ARE of benefit to you.
- In this week’s video, Tom talks about saving for retirement with a runway of 10+ years. He discusses the dynamics of buying more shares with each dollar you save and how that base works to your benefit on the way back up.
- We’ve seen the stock market take a dive this year, but earnings have held up relatively well. If this economic slowdown causes earnings to fall, will that make the market fall even further? Ben addresses this topic in his latest post.
- I think most people would be interested in paying as little in taxes as possible right? Well this article looks at capital gains taxes, and how even people with high incomes can pay as little as possible.
