It’s been a roller coaster week for the US, and it appears that trend will continue most likely through the beginning of November. It doesn’t mean you need to DO anything about it, financially, and it’s important to keep a level head. As we head into the weekend, take a few minutes to read these great posts.
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:

‘Luck and Success’ – Michael Batnick – The Irrelevant Investor
- Michael addressed a controversial tweet in his latest post about hard work and luck. When it comes to being successful, almost always those two factors are not mutually exclusive. He tells his own story of how luck and hard work helped him find success.
‘No, This Isn’t a Repeat of the Dot-Com Bubble’ – Nick Maggiulli – Of Dollars and Data
- Everybody is concerned about whether we’re heading for “another dot-com bubble” in today’s market. Nick writes about how this ISN’T another dot-com bubble, and explains exactly why he feels that way.
‘Common Causes of Very Bad Decisions’ – Morgan Housel – Collaborative Fund
- Why do people keep making the same bad decisions over and over again? Morgan explains a handful of the common reasons why humans never seem to learn their lesson.
