Here in New Jersey, we get our fair share of winter weather. However, it’s NOTHING like what they deal with up in Buffalo! If you haven’t seen the news, the Buffalo area is expecting 3-6 FEET of snow over the next few days. It’s not even December yet! If you’re up in the Buffalo area reading this, hunker down inside with a warm blanket and pass the time with these great reads!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
- Saving money, investing, and making good financial decisions for retirement is one thing. Having the physical ability to enjoy retirement is a totally separate thing. Tony writes about the benefits of taking care of ourselves for later in life, and future generations to come.
- Americans are spending more money. Over the last year, as the pandemic resided, we began returning to levels of spending from before COVID. Pair this with higher prices throughout the economy, and you have a recipe for larger credit card debt.
- The stock market has been volatile this year. That’s not a surprise to anyone. This article discusses how a LOT of investors are making changes in their 401(k)’s to favor stable investments and money market funds. This may end up costing them in the future.
- If you have a workplace retirement plan, it’s becoming more and more likely that the default investment choice is a target date fund. In this post, Thomas outlines what these target date funds are and how they work.
