Over the weekend I got to experience the NYC Marathon in person for the first time. My wife ran the race, and CRUSHED it! If you’re in the NYC area and have never gone to watch the race in person, I highly recommend it. It’s such an inspiring day and a reminder to always follow your dreams!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘How to Become a Millionaire’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- A large portion of the wealth in America is still controlled by the top 10% of households. However, Ben shares in this post how the number of millionaires in America is increasing as well.
‘About Last Week’ – Michael Batnick – The Irrelevant Investor
- Sentiment for the markets was very low heading into last week, but that didn’t stop the markets from having their best week in a long time. Michael writes about last week in the markets, and what exactly happened.
‘It Never Gets Easier’ – Nick Maggiulli – Of Dollars and Data
- Looking at the professional career of soccer player Freddy Adu, Nick writes about the ever-shifting goalposts for people. Not just professional athletes, every day individuals are constantly fighting the battle of moving goalposts.
- There are tons of important financial questions to answer before and during your retirement. But the most important question may not be financial at all. This post looks at the potentially difficult question of figuring out who you are post-retirement.
ENJOY!
