The countdown to Christmas is getting close to the single digits. We are now 12 days away! Have you finished all of your shopping yet? Were you able to finish your shopping without piling too much debt onto your credit cards? Hopefully the answer to both of those questions is “yes!”
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘Is the 4% Rule Right for Your Retirement?’ – Mullooly Asset Podcast
- In this week’s podcast, Casey and Brendan further their discussion on retirement withdrawal strategies. Tune in to find out how stock market valuations affect plans and what retirees can do if they have to withdraw less than 4% from their portfolios.
‘Inflation is Hitting the Big 3 Areas of Household Budgets’ – Greg Iacurci – CNBC
- When making a budget, there are usually three different areas that soak up a large portion of the funds. Those 3 categories are housing, transportation, and food. Unfortunately, inflation in today’s environment has been hitting those three main areas.
‘Expected Returns Over the Next Decade’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- We all know predicting the future is extremely difficult, if not impossible. Ben lays out what has happened in stocks over the last decade, and then shows the expected returns for the next 10 years.
‘The Best Decade for Earnings Growth Since the Civil War’ – Josh Brown – The Reformed Broker
- Almost piggybacking off of the topic from Ben’s post above, I present this! Josh and the gang discuss the earnings growth for companies over the last decade, and how it hadn’t been THAT good since the 1800’s.
ENJOY!
