As many of you know if you read these posts regularly, I am a New York Jets fan. Having said that, I will not be commenting on what happened yesterday. In happier news: my fantasy football team moved on to the championship round and Christmas is Friday!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘The Dangers of Day Trading Apps’ – Mullooly Asset Podcast
- In last week’s episode of the podcast, we discussed the trading app Robinhood. After a complaint was filed against Robinhood in Massachusetts, we wanted to take the time to remind everyone about the potential consequences to abusing the platform.
‘The Hardest Market Environment Ever’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- 2020 has changed the way a lot of us do business. Ben shares how Zoom has made it easier for him to participate in speaking engagements without leaving his family. He luckily also shared his slides from a recent presentation about if we’re in the most difficult market environment ever.
- I share a lot from the Ritholtz Wealth Management group in my Top Links, and this piece profiles the two at the head of the firm. Barry and Josh answer a handful of questions about blogging and money management, and how their firm operates.
‘5 Lessons From the Only 2 Stocks I’ve Ever Owned’ – Nick Maggiulli – Of Dollars and Data
- If you’ve read Nick’s work before, you know he much prefers index funds and ETFs. Reading about his only 2 endeavors into individual stock picking was entertaining and informative. He shares the most important lessons he learned from those 2 stocks.
ENJOY!
