In case you missed it last week, I fired up the Living With Money blog for the first time in a while! You can expect a more regular publishing of articles over there, so click this link to make sure you don’t miss any.
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘Good News and Bad News About the Market’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- Some people might be thinking, “there’s GOOD news about the market?” It’s been a rough go of things lately, but Ben is able to pair some good news with some not so good news about the market in his latest post.
‘It Feels Worse’ – Michael Batnick – The Irrelevant Investor
- Coming into this week, the S&P 500 was down only -13.5% from the highs. If you’ve been following the market on a daily basis these last few months, it definitely feels worse than that. Michael writes about it in his latest blog!
‘The Real Enemy’ – Christine Benz – Morningstar
- There has been a lot of volatility in the markets to start this year. However, as Christine points out, there is a difference between managing volatility and managing risk in your investments. She explains the difference.
‘The Rich and the Wealthy’ – Morgan Housel – Collaborative Fund
- Morgan starts this post out with a story about the Vanderbilt family. There is a big difference between getting rich and staying rich. Morgan writes about that difference and how it’s always fascinated him.
ENJOY!
