Friday of Memorial Day Weekend is finally upon us! Unfortunately here in New Jersey, it’s supposed to rain all weekend long, but that won’t stop everyone from making the most of the holiday weekend. Hopefully wherever you are will be dry and sunny, but we’ll be back next Tuesday with more Top Links!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
- Being a fiduciary means always acting in your client’s best interest, not your own. However, this can sometimes prove difficult. Tom writes about how it’s on the advisor sometimes to tell client’s they’re wrong and have hard conversations. It’s part of the job!
- Setting and accomplishing long term goals can be difficult because truly thinking long term is very hard. Morgan writes about how people can actually adopt a long term mindset to help them not just give lip service to “long term goals”.
- ETFs have become much more popular over the last handful of years as they continue to take inflows away from mutual funds. In this video, Tom outlines 4 reasons why we use ETFs here at Mullooly Asset Management.
- Despite the pandemic, college prices continue to rise with schools across the country, on average, raising costs 1-2%. While loan forgiveness has been discussed, the reality of it remains very unclear.
