For golf fans out there on the east coast: How great is the US Open being in prime time this week? Getting to watch some of the best golfers in the world play Pebble Beach AFTER the work day is over was a real treat. Anyway, have a great weekend!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘The Inflation That Never Was’ – Tom Mullooly – The Human Advisor
- With interest rates at zero for a while, and quantitative easing going on, many expected inflation to return in the US. It hasn’t. Why not?
‘Sudden Wealth’ – Carolyn Gowen – The Financial Bodyguard
- Some people have their wealth thrust upon them through inheritances or other circumstances, and it can be a lot to deal with.
‘Lessons Learned From My First Garage Sale’ – Ramp Capital
- Garage sales are a great way to de-clutter your house, make a few bucks, and learn some lessons in negotiating, expectation setting and more.
‘Companies are Incentivizing Employees to Save Money in Emergency Funds’ – Business Insider
- Outside of saving for retirement in company 401(k)’s, some companies have begun helping employees build up that super important emergency fund.
ENJOY!
