We’re closing in on Episode 250 of the Mullooly Asset Show. Be sure to jump over to our YouTube channel to tune in! If you missed last week’s episode, here’s a link to Episode 249!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
- Inflation has been at the top of investors’ minds for the better part of 2021. Last week the year over year U.S. inflation rate came in at the highest rate since 2008. Ben wrote about how people might hedge against inflation.
- The two terms sometimes get mistakenly intertwined, however trading and investing are not synonymous with one another. Jason writes about why it’s important to understand the difference between speculation and investing.
- In this week’s episode, the guys cover an array of topics, including the importance of portfolio rebalancing. Brendan and Tom breakdown why rebalancing allows the individual pieces of the portfolio to “do their jobs”. And why it’s a good risk management technique to not let the portfolio drift too far, in either direction.
- In March of 2021, U.S. household debt hit a new record high. Some people might view that as a negative for the economy and markets, but Ben writes about why he isn’t actually worried about it as much as others.
