For most MLB teams the season ends in September, and for a select few teams it ends in October.
However, for the New York Mets it ends in June almost every year. As we get ready to turn the page into July, it looks like another Mets season is lost. (I hope I’m wrong!)
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘Gathering Investment Lessons From the Headlines’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- As Ben writes, investing is getting comfortable with things “almost nobody saw coming”. He takes a trip down memory lane through some of his favorite, and most telling headlines.
‘Get a Job!’ – Barry Ritholtz – The Big Picture
- On top of a few other personal finance tidbits, Barry outlines why it’s smart to prepare for the possibility of finding a new job when the next recession hits.
‘Most Interesting ETF Filing Ever: Libra’ – Dave Nadig – ETF.com
- After reading through the filing for the cryptocurrency Libra, Dave writes about how it is essentially acting like an ETF.
‘Are Smarter People Better Investors?’- Nick Maggiulli – Of Dollars and Data
- Many successful investors point out that you don’t need to be a genius to succeed in the market, but Nick does a deeper dive into the truth of that statement.
ENJOY!
