Remember when I said the MLB Trade Deadline was one of the most interesting times of the year? Well, last night it proved to be just that.
The Indians, currently holding the first AL Wild Card spot, traded one of their best pitchers and somehow managed to get better while doing it! It just goes to show that not everyone operates under the same game plan, and taking risks can pay off.
Or, they could blow up in their face! We’ll find out in a few months.
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘Rush to the Exits’ – Ben Carlson and Michael Batnick – Animal Spirits Podcast
- On the latest episode of the podcast, Michael and Ben touch on a few topics negative interest rates, stocks that end up losers and more!
‘Complete Forgiveness’ – Douglas A. Boneparth – Bone Fide Wealth
- With student debt at the forefront of the conversation for some Presidential candidates, Douglas takes a look at the two plans on the table to forgive debt.
‘Reducing Your Biggest Retirement Expense: Where You Live’ – Dan Egan – Betterment
- Figuring out where you want to live in retirement can significantly impact your savings plan, and how much you’ll need in retirement.
‘The Paradox of U.S. Mega Caps’ – Julie Segal – Institutional Investor
- These huge name stocks have provided lots of growth for investors, AND they still expect them to protect them when the U.S. and global economies slow down.
ENJOY!
