Hopefully everyone enjoyed the holiday weekend! The weather was truly on point here in New Jersey, but now it’s time to get back to work. We’re kicking off this week with some great posts!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘All Upside, No Downside’ – Mullooly Asset Podcast
- Last week on the podcast, we discussed the idea of private equity funds in retirement plans and why that isn’t a great idea. We also discussed why an investment with all of the upside of the market and no downside doesn’t exist.
‘The Broker Who Saved America’ – Josh Brown – The Reformed Broker
- Over the holiday weekend, Josh posted the story of a man who very few people know about, but was influential in keeping American hopes alive during the revolutionary war. He tells the tale of Haym Solomon, and everyone should read up on his important role in the war.
‘The Bear Market in Happiness’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- In order to have good times, we need to experience not so good times. Ben writes about how we are most likely in the midst of a bear market in happiness as human beings. He writes about a few different things we can still manage to find happiness in during a challenging time.
‘Two Reasons to Worry’ – Adam Grossman – Humble Dollar
- The market in 2020 has been nothing short of crazy. Although we’ve seen a nice recovery from the March lows, Adam writes about two reasons to still remain cautious about the market right now.
ENJOY!
