What a great, long weekend for the Fourth of July. My days were all sorts of mixed up. Thursday felt like a Saturday and Friday felt like a Sunday, and THEN there was still the REAL Saturday and Sunday! Anyway, today is definitely Monday, so let’s get back to work!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘076 – Cameron Huddleston – Mom & Dad, We Need to Talk’ – Living With Money
- Cameron joined the podcast to talk about her new book, and why it’s so important to have financial conversation with your parents as they near retirement and their later years.
‘The Thing That’s Probably Blowing a Hole in Your Budget’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- The 3 biggest debts a person has usually are a mortgage, student debt, and a car loan. Ben gives his thoughts on the third debt listed in his latest post.
‘We’re Only as Good as Our Peers’ – Justin Castelli – All About Your Benjamins
- Justin writes about the benefits of having like-minded peers in the industry, and not operating under the “us vs. them” mentality some firms have/had.
‘The Soft Side of Strong’ – Casey Mullooly – All Things are One
- Casey writes about the misconceptions of strength and our innate aversion to being called “soft” or “weak”.
ENJOY!
