Starting off a new month, let’s get ready for the dog days of summer! August has begun, and the market is looking to build on the best month of 2022 so far. The market was sufficiently good in July. Let’s see what we can do here in August!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘What Should Investors Do in a Market Like 2022?’ – Mullooly Asset Show
- Warren Buffett said famously that “the stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient”. Tom discusses how we need to invest THROUGH these markets. And he even gets into some ways investors can potentially capitalize on the mistakes of impatient investors.
“Some Worry’s” – Brendan Mullooly – Your Brain on Stocks
- A phrase you’ll often hear in the financial media is “some worry”. As Brendan writes in his latest blog post, it’d be better for investors if these “some worry” statements weren’t followed by the worst possible outcomes regardless of how unlikely they are to occur.
‘Was That the Bottom?’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- The market has been searching for a bottom for a while now, and every time it seems like it’s found one, things go lower. However, since the middle of June, things have been looking much better. Ben asks the important question – was THAT the bottom?
‘Scarcity is an Ally of Appreciation’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- Time management really is one of the most crucial skills to learn throughout life. Ben shows a wonderful chart from Derek Thompson, and then shares his thoughts on his own personal journey with time management.
ENJOY!
