We’re at the point in the summer where some nights are beginning to get that “September, fall-ish” feel to them, the Mets have completely fallen apart, and my optimism for another Jets season is peaking (I know, I know). We still have a few weeks of summer left though, so let’s make them count!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘Price Rules Everything Around Me’ – Nick Maggiulli – Of Dollars and Data
- Whether it’s an NFT selling for a ridiculous price or bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies making ANOTHER comeback, Nick writes about how everything is based on price. Whether you like it or not, price ultimately drives the bus.
‘A Very Good Year in the Stock Market’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- How has the stock market been in 2021? Depending on what you watch or who you talk to, you might get a few different answers. However, Ben is here to outline the numbers for the market thus far in 2021, and it’s pretty darn good.
‘Saving for Retirement: Catch-Up Contributions’ – Mullooly Asset Show
- In this week’s video, Casey discusses a proposed increase to the catch-up contributions for retirement account savers. These catch-up contribution changes being discussed would help “average workers” save more as they get closer to retirement age.
- You would assume that all tax preparers are held to the same standard across the country, right? Well, unfortunately that is not the case. This article discusses the pressures Congress is now facing to level the playing field.
ENJOY!
