In my opinion, it’s the best time of the year. We are a few days into Fall, the MLB playoffs are right around the corner, football season is in full swing, the weather is cooling down, and it’s time to focus in on finishing the year strong! Let’s make it a great end to 2019.
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘There Are No Secrets’ – Nick Maggiulli – Of Dollars and Data
- Despite all of the information available, Nick writes about why there are no easy answers when it comes to investing.
‘Closet Active’ – Phil Huber – BPs and Pieces
- Many active mutual funds from the 90’s were called “closet indexers”, but Phil shares why he believes many funds today should be called “closet active” funds.
‘Millennials Want Real Advice’ – Maureen D. Wright – The Financial (Fashion) Planner
- Millennials are looking for something different when choosing an advisor (and rightfully so). Maureen outlines what to look for when searching for an advisor.
‘Hope is Not a Strategy’ – Demonetized Blog
- There are a LOT of different ways to be successful making money in the market, but just having hope is not one of them.
ENJOY!
