Today would be a great day to go check out the Mullooly Asset Management YouTube channel! The next episode of the Mullooly Asset Show should be dropping any day now, don’t miss it!
Here’s what I’ve been reading this morning:
‘Interest Rates vs. Inflation’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- The main bullet in the chamber of the Fed in the fight against inflation seems to be interest rates. So how do these two interact? Ben looks at bond yields, interest rates, and inflation over time and how they relate to one another.
- A question we get all the time from people closing in on retirement, or in retirement, is “should we pay off our mortgage?” This article looks at when it’s good to have a mortgage in retirement and when it’s not, and how high interest rates factor into the decision.
‘Living Like Nothing Matters’ – Ben Carlson – A Wealth of Common Sense
- We often get tied up in tiny little details of our lives, especially when it comes to money. Ben writes a sobering post here about why none of it REALLY matters. Instead of going into an existential crisis about it, you can use that freedom to live a life you want!
‘Consumers Underestimate Monthly Subscription Costs By at Least $100’ – Sarah O’Brien – CNBC
- According to this post, 86% of people with subscriptions have them on autopay. It’s easy to forget, or not know, how much you’re paying. However, it’s very important to make sure you DO know.
ENJOY!
